The School has an outstanding academic record, with a 100% pass rate in the IEB examination since its inception. Oakhill also has a fine reputation in sports, music, art and drama.
Oakhill is a whole school: Little Oaks is our Pre-prep School Grades 000 to R (3/4 year olds; Oakhill Prep School Grades 1 to 7; Oakhill College Grades 8 to 12 (Matric) all on the same campus! We have a sports campus close to the school where we offer rugby, soccer, cricket, Astroturf hockey, netball and water polo. We also offer a range of other adventure sports within the area.
Oakhill is an exciting, vibrant, energetic space and the status quo is challenged here at every turn. Thinking independently, a love of learning and the joy of life are celebrated regularly and this website is a testament to the joy experienced here on a daily basis.
Oakhill School grew from an idea sown in the early 1990s by pioneering parents who wanted an excellent all-round education for their children. They sought to establish a school which expressed joy in learning. Today Oakhill has over 500 pupils from Grade 000 to Grade 12 and is growing steadily in reputation and numbers, attracting children from local areas and from further afield.
The school is managed by a team comprising the Principal, and a management executive of teachers and administrators.
Little Oaks is part of Oakhill School and this makes for an easy transition from the Pre-Prep Phase to Grade 1 in the Foundation Phase.
Our values at Little Oaks include:

All staff at Oakhill are also given opportunities for ongoing training and development to stay ahead of educational trends globally.
Our curriculum is centred around the child and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies and activities encourage the holistic development of each child ensuring that they have every opportunity to reach their unique full potential. We believe in discovering strengths and learning styles in each child. Each child is seen as an individual and every child matters to us. All the domains of development and learning such as physical, social, emotional and cognitive are important and closely related. Childrens learning and development in one domain influence and are influenced by what takes place in other domains. Play is important for developing self-regulation as well as for promoting language, cognition and social competence.
We use Interactive Whiteboards when teaching Literacy and Numeracy to the Grade Rs as we believe technology is an important aspect of 21st Century learning and thinking. Grade Rs are also taught how to use an iPad, as well as other basic computer skills through educational games.
