Sediba Academy High School is located in Kuruman. We are an independent, English medium school with strong values and great character. This is the perfect place for your child to learn, to be equipped and to make an impact in the community.

The school was started by Kuruman Christian Church in 1998 and followed the Accelerated Christian Education program. They moved the school from their church, to the old Gefco buildings (now “Summerdown” located on the Danielskuil Road, just before exiting Kuruman).

?When the current administration started at the school, there were 5 staff members and 16 children. Then in 2004 the Gefco buildings were sold, and we moved the school to the current school grounds in Kalahari street.

?As you drive through the front gates of the school there are two eagles who fearlessly man the posts, they too are significant as they remind us of: Isaiah 40: 31

“Those who trust in the Lord, will renew their strength, they will soar on wings of eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow weak.”

There are two lasting bequests we can give our children. One is roots, the other is wings.

?We continuously pledge allegiance to the bible; Gods Holy word, to make it a lamp under our feet, and a light unto our path, we will always hide its words in our hearts, so that we might not sin against God.

?God's Word continue to illuminate the path of our lives. If we keep God's Word shining along the way, then we will be far less likely to trip and fall. We will not be easily misled. Because we are following the light, we will see what the light reveals in the path ahead of us.

?The school has been a trail blazer for independent schools, since its inception, and we have accomplished nearly everything that we have set our mind to. But the school views its greatest accomplishment in that which we have imparted into everyone whose lives we have touched. This will have a ripple effect for generations to come.

In 2018, when our school became 20 years old, we decided that it was time for a change. Kuruman Christian Academy turned into Sediba Academy. Sediba means ”fountain of living water”. We aim to be like fresh, living water to our community.

And after years of continued devoted service to parents, learners and all our staff members the journey continues, still our calling is to reach every boy and girl for God. As we must thank our heavenly father, who has patiently taught us to move in the power of His spirit, to walk in his light of his presence and to dance to the beat of his heart.

?He taught us to love with your heart of compassion, to trust in the word of His promise, to hope in the day of his coming. Let all our movement express a heart that loves to say yes. A will that leaps to obey Him, let all our energy blaze to see the joy in His face, let our whole being praise Him.
