Swartland Primary School is located in Malmsbury. At Swartland Primary we develop the child to its full potential. The basis of teaching is Christian so that our learners can responsibly develop their talents and accept rights.
In our pursuit of quality education, our parent community plays an integral role while pursuing a high academic standard by staff who are handy and competent so as to create a harmonious educational climate.
In Malmesbury, in the heart of the Swartland, about half an hour's drive from Cape Town, is Swartland Primary School, a dynamic school that has made its mark in a variety of areas. The cornerstone of the original building (a girls' school) was laid down more than a century ago in 1903 and in 1944 Swartland Primary School came into being, as we now know it. Today we show off an enormous list of achievements where our students excel in academia, in sports and also in the cultural field. Swartland Primary School is considered among the top schools in the country in terms of academic standards.
This is evidenced by the outstanding achievements we have achieved in national competitions such as Conquesta, Amesa and SACCEE. The school also houses a Sunshine Class where learners with multiple disabilities are taught to take their place in society later as full-fledged people. There is also an Occupational Therapist on site that meets the needs of many children and is part of the learning support team.
The school's two choirs regularly receive Cum Laude or gold in the Eisteddfod and boast a number of CDs that have already seen the light. A large number of learners also participate individually in the annual Eisteddfod. Outstanding quality concerts are regularly put on the boards. No school can exist without a supportive parent.
This is evidenced by the long queues of vehicles that regularly follow the school buses after various events. Our parent committee also regularly raises fundraisers to ensure that the high standard the school is used to can be maintained and that former learners look back with pride and appreciation on their primary school career in Swartland Primary School.
Welcome to Swartland Primary School, a school with a beautiful tradition and great achievements! The school and staff once again strive to provide, in close collaboration with our parents and other educational stakeholders, the best possible education system for our learners. Thank you so much for your continued support and loyalty!
We believe in positive parent participation at all levels and you may feel free to visit us at any time. Swartland Greetings from Principal And Staff. A school full of stars, Swartland Primary School is a school with a long tradition where all learners feel at home. Parent involvement is encouraged in all our school activities and the parents are being represented by the Governing Body and PTA

24/11/2023 at 09:24The Best school in the Western Cape! Amazing principal and the school still treasure family and Christian values, but also accepts diversity with love and kindness. The sport and culture department are competitive, but also creates an atmosphere of working in teams and having fun in the process. The academic department is different than other schools. They inspire kids to create, learn and evolve. They do most of their projects at school. My kids LOVE Swartland Primary:)
