As Governing Body, Management Team and staff, it is our primary goal to ensure that every child, who leaves us to enter their chosen high school, is happy and well prepared.

We strive to instil universal norms and values, as these values are the glue that connect us. At this “barefoot, blue, fun school” we hope our children will focus on the ‘musts’ [values] and minimise the ‘must nots’ [rules]. Children flourish in a positive atmosphere.

We realise that every child is unique and that talents differ. At Gericke Primary, we don’t only focus on academics, but offer various sporting and cultural opportunities. We believe that learners must be exposed to numerous building bricks such as leadership skills, Radio Rotsvas, Gericke Gons and other clubs and societies.

We desire to be a place where every child will be happy and reach his/her academic, sporting and cultural potential. We build, by all our actions, on our children’s faith and character with the hope that we can say that Gericke Primary stands “Rock Solid” [Rotsvas] in our values and holistic development of all our learners. When learners come to school, parents and teachers become partners. We need to support each other in the interest of the children’s education. A caring atmosphere must be nurtured.
