Claremont Primary School Pre-School is located in Claremont. Claremont School was founded by Sir Ebenezer John Buchanan on 5 October 1892. Originally a newspaperman with the Natal Witness, he later turned to law and was admitted to the Cape Bar and later elected Puisne Judge. He was very interested in higher education in S. A. and was a member of the University of Cape Town Council from 1888 to 1918.
Our mission is to prepare our learners to enter the community as well-balanced, honourable and productive individuals. To this end the full co-operation and partnership of the School Governing Body, Headmaster, Staff and Parents will be sought at all times.
We shall endeavour to promote our pupils' self worth to such an extent that they will feel equal to all those around them and be proud of themselves, their family, School, culture and religion. We shall also endeavour to inculcate a spirit of mutual respect in our learners.
We are committed to providing educational, sporting, cultural and social opportunities to the limit of our recourses.
