Grade R

Vastrap Primary School strives to be a school of choice by offering exceptional education, education and life skills to every pupil entrusted to us. Our school's academy is our pride. We offer an integrated, comprehensive academic program based on the national curriculum.

In addition, we not only offer standard learning material, but also have several extra programs to ensure that learners can apply the information they obtain practically as well.

This phase marks the beginning of a long and sometimes demanding 13-year school career. In this phase, the basis for further learning is established - the exceptionally good and positive cooperation from the parents with the teacher is crucial. So these parents need to be much more involved in the daily honing and mastering of skills. Love, compassion, care and sympathetic guidance are the environment in which we are taught. Here at Vastrap every child is important.

This phase is not called the Foundation Phase for free - the foundation for success is laid here.

From Grades R to 3, we follow the National Curriculum (CAPS) and the following subjects are offered: Afrikaans, English, Mathematics, Life Skills which include Kinder Kinetics, Music and Art. Computer Technology is offered from Grade 2. Stimuzone Computer-aided Perceptual program is offered at Gr R only.

Bible teaching also receives daily attention in the daily program.
