Vaalwater Primary School Pre-School is located in Vaalwater. The very first school building was next to the current Vaalwater Hotel and opened in 1953. It was a three-man school with Mr. SSB Hoffman as the chief and his wife. Aunt Katy and Aunt Chrissie van Heerden as the other two staff members.
Uncle Nic Runtgen was the driver of the very first school bus that transported all the learners to and from the school. On June 11, 1960, the new school buildings we are currently using will be put into service. The cornerstone of the new school is laid by Mr. SGJ van Niekerk who was a member of the Executive Committee.
After Mr. Hoffman's retirement becomes Mr. SJM Swanepoel the principal. After his retirement, Mr. PBE van der Westhuizen (Mr Pieter) the principal. After the farm has taken Mr Pieter away from the school, Mr. Daan Labuschagne appointed chief. From 2006 to June 2008, Ms. Petro Raubenheimer dismissed as Acting Head, after which Mr. Willen Nezar is appointed head of Vaalwater Primary School.
Mr. Nezar passed away on December 17, 2012. Me. Martie Steyl retires until August 2014 as Acting Head. Mr. LH Vorster becomes head on September 1, 2014 and is up to date full steam ahead. The school song was written by Oom Hoffie (Mr Hofman). We still sing the same school song today.
Our school badge was also provided by Mr. Hoffman designed and based on the words of our school song (where blue sky radiates the plane with sunshine) Our motto "I CAN" encourages every Valie to take anything with courage and courage, because they know - I CAN.
Three learning areas of the Foundation Phase are implemented in our learning programs:
The content, knowledge, skills and values ??of the curriculum are communicated to the preschoolers throughout the year on the basis of specific themes. Because they play, they learn fast and cheerful without seeing learning as too challenging. We quickly help a hand that struggles or a cup that may just need to be quiet again before it can do. In order to achieve the overall development of our toddlers, various activities from all three mentioned learning areas (Language Proficiency, Numeracy and Life Skills) are offered daily, in a balanced manner.
