Cowies Hill Pre-Primary Pre-School was established in 1971. CHPPS is located in Cowies Hill and has a long and proud tradition of offering the finest education and basic skills training to children from 14 month - 6 years of age. Cowies Hill Pre-Primary is a private school and a member of the Independent Schools Association of South Africa (ISASA). CHPPS is a Christian, multi-racial co-educational English medium school catering for the development of young children. The school is well managed through a parent-elected Governing Body, which controls the financial, maintenance and general management of the school in accordance with its constitution. CHPPS actively promotes the values of respect, self-discipline, kindness and compassion.

Our school for the past 50 years has provided a high standard of pre-primary education in a warm, caring and vibrant environment which all plays an important role in a child's development. We aim to develop pre-school children into well-rounded confident individuals, taking special care of their physical, intellectual and spiritual needs. We have regulated small classes and offer extra-mural activities, on site remedial assistance and occupational therapy. Cowies Hill Pre-Primary have dedicated and experienced staff with all Pre-School staff holding ECD qualifications. Our staff create an environment which enriches and develops the child as a whole person. CHPPS has an aftercare and holiday care facility until 5pm.
