Ashton International College Ballito High School is located in Ballito. Ashton is an English-medium co-educational school with a Christian ethos, catering for students from Grade 0000 Grade 12. Situated in the heart of Ballito, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Ashton strives for academic, sport and cultural excellence.
We provide a family environment with traditional morals and values. It is our sense of commitment that we strive to unlock the potential that lies within every student, producing well rounded young adults that will one day, make a difference.
Aristotle once said, Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. Even as we impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization, we endeavour to develop an ethos of morals, values and integrity.
Each student at Ashton is a work of art, a unique self portrait and each student paints his or her own portrait and creates a legacy. Each student has the power to make a positive impact. We encourage our students to serve others and to be remembered for something, to be known as more than merely ordinary, to be seen as someone who truly made a difference.
Our College is an amalgamation of subject specialists, state-of-the-art facilities and an experienced and efficient administration. We encourage all students to participate in the many extra-curricular activities we offer from dance and music to a variety of sports, community projects and clubs. It is important for each student to explore and find their strengths and it is our sense of commitment that we strive to unlock the potential that lies within every student, producing well rounded young adults that will one day, make a difference in the world.
Senior College Academics
We pride ourselves on combining the excitement and innovation of a relatively new concept in education by offering students the best of both worlds. In Form 1 the students are introduced to the broader spectrum of subjects offered on a cross-curriculum of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and the Independent Examinations Board (IEB).
At the end of this first year, students choose seven subjects for their Form 2 year selecting either the Cambridge Curriculum or the IEB Curriculum, provided they have achieved the required minimum standard. Our focus is on Academic, Sport and Cultural Excellence.
