Observatory East Primary School Pre-School is located in Observatory. Welcome to Observatory East School. We are situated in the heart of the leafy suburbs of Observatory. The school is approximately 2km from the suburb of Kensington, 3km from Eastgate shopping centre and Bruma.

There is easy access to the school both from the freeway and from town. Taxis frequent the area, and this provides access to other parts of Johannesburg and the surrounding suburbs.

We can proudly call ourselves a school of the “rainbow nation.” There are learners of all races, religions, nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds.

The majority of learners who leave OBSERVATORY EAST SCHOOL at the end of Grade 7 are very well equipped to enter high school. At least four learners every year, receive academic scholarships for high schools at a school of their choice.

We have managed to attain an above average academic record at this school, as is shown by the Foundations for Learning assessments, and various international assessments.
