On July 24, 2003, Volkskool celebrates its 100th birthday. Other schools in our country are older, other schools also have an interesting history of struggle and growth, but the birthday of Volkskool is an event, worthy of special consideration, because the history of few other institutions in our country so characteristic of the vigor of the African spirit.
