Maragon Private School Mooikloof is located in Pretoria. Maragons Christ-centred educational model focuses on academic excellence in a progressive environment where every students potential is recognised holistically. Teachers follow the CAPS curriculum and enhance it by developing global competency skills to achieve a high academic standard.
Our desire for our students is to discover God in an encouraging and loving environment, equipping them to be able to change the world around them.
Worshipping Jesus Christ is part of our daily lives. We are privileged to have a weekly Praise and Worship session where a message is shared with our students. The heart behind our weekly Praise and Worship is to create a place where the students are able to challenge each other to grow spiritually in their relationship with Jesus. We are blessed with a team of Youth Workers from TREE (Transforming Educational Environments) to mentor our students.
Maragon Mooikloof is changing the face of education with our Mobilearn project. The school follows a blended learning approach from Grade 8-12. With this collaborative way of learning and teaching, students are being taught skills of how to look for facts and to generate information. We want our students to become makers and not simply be consumers.
Grade 8 & 9
The prescribed National Department of Education Syllabus (CAPS) is used as the basis of our curriculum, and is then adapted to reflect the Christ-centred lifestyle and worldview of our school.
Grade 10 -12
At the end of Grade 9, we assist our students in selecting a combination of seven subjects for the FET phase. Maragon Mooikloof matrics write the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) examination. This examination is Umalusi accredited and within the CAPS syllabus. In Grade 10 and 11, students work on a long term project across various subjects in a collaborative style to practise global competency skills they will use once they enter the work market.
