Pharos Primary School is a Christian co-ed bilingual primary school based in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa.

Since Fanie Vermaak started teaching in early 1990's, it has been his passion to discover that one thing in every child that makes him/her excited to learn and discover life. This passion to find each child's potential to achieve their God-given purpose, drives the foundation of the Pharos School environment.

During October 2015 Fanie and Hanlie Vermaak took the leap to start preparing for the opening of an independent (private) school in Jeffreys Bay, to serve the wider Kouga community. Two senior experienced teachers who have worked with Fanie for more than 10 years, joined as the two phase heads. The staff grew to 9 well-qualified, suitable teachers by the time the school opened its doors in January 2016 to 59 children from Grade RR to Grade 7. Since then, the school has grown to an excess of 91 learners (50% growth in 18 months) and a staff compliment of 17.
